Environment

Respecting the environment is part of Diamante Generação de Energia's mission. To this end, the environmental aspects of its activities are mapped, and the company acts to mitigate the impacts, with the adoption of monitoring and controls. In addition, it is engaged in natural resource conservation and environmental education actions in the regions where it operates.

Environmental Licenses
Environmental licensing is established by Law 6,938/81, which provides for the National Environmental Policy, conducted by the competent environmental agencies, establishing the requirements for the installation, operation and expansion of projects.

The Jorge Lacerda Thermoelectric Complex has been licensed since the 80s by the Santa Catarina Environmental Institute (formerly FATMA) and has 4 current Environmental Operating Licenses.

The use of water in the activities is granted by the Secretariat for Sustainable Development of Santa Catarina.

All analyses are conducted by specialized companies and laboratories accredited by the ISO/IEC 17025 standard, ensuring compliance with current legislation and the reliability of the results.

Waste Management

Waste management is carried out in accordance with the Solid Waste Management Plan (PGRS), prepared in accordance with current environmental legislation. The process follows the best practices of segregation, collection, storage, transportation, and final destination, ensuring responsibility and efficiency at every stage.
