Recognized as one of the best dance schools in the world, the Bolshoi School will be pre-selected in Capivari de Baixo.One of the world's leading ballet companies, located in Joinville/SC, will be shortlisted for 2024 vacancies in Capivari de Baixo. The auditions will take place on June 17 and are open for registration until June 13 through the Bolshoi website. The auditions are divided between female and male with or without knowledge of dance. The pre-selection For candidates without dance knowledge, the focus is on physical evaluations. Traits such as flexibility, stretching and rotation capacity of the hip are analyzed. “We used basic and playful exercises such as jumping, placing our hands on our feet without bending our knees, and others inherent to the development of dance,” explains Sylvana Albuquerque, coordinator of the selection process at the Bolshoi School. Through these movements, evaluators analyze children's abilities to develop in the Vaganova Method, used to teach classical dance at the institution. For candidates with knowledge in dance, a ballet class is applied to analyze the level of dance instruction of this dancer. Once approved at this stage, the candidate is invited to take classes at the Bolshoi school for the final tests and to verify that the Vaganova methodology is appropriate. Candidates without dance knowledge classified in this pre-selection stage are referred to the National Selection, which will take place on October 6 and 7, 2023 at the headquarters of the Bolshoi School, with children from all over the country.
