
This Tuesday afternoon (23), the Sustainable Business Center of the Tubarão Business Association (ACIT), in partnership with Diamante Energia, held the event “Strategies that Inspire, Connections that Transform”, focusing on the exchange of ideas between companies about Innovation, Sustainability, and Corporate Governance. The opening was led by the president of ACIT, Alexander Barbosa Cruz.
The program included two panel discussions. No first panel, mediated by the president of Diamante Energia, Pedro Litsek, the Director of Events at ACIT participated, Arthur Jung; the member of the ACIT Sustainable Business Center and board member certified by the IBGC, Leandro Coan; and the Director of Sustainability at ACIT, Vivian Pra.
The debate highlighted the relevance of associations for business growth, the exchange of innovative solutions applied according to the reality of each business, in addition to the importance of branding as a tool for communicating values aligned with sustainability. The role of corporate governance, which creates long-term value by promoting transparency, credibility, longevity, and risk reduction.
Already Second panel was mediated by Diamante Energia's Environment and Sustainability Manager, Fábio Costa, with the participation of the environmental advisor of Votorantim Cimos, Guilherme Oliveira; from the Mining Superintendent of Rio Deserto Coal Industry, Ricardo Barbosa; and from the Manserv Contracts Manager, Luivan Cardoso. At this stage, the panelists discussed how to build companies better prepared for the challenges of a constantly changing market, addressing topics such as resilience, adaptation, strategic innovation, ESG practices and the importance of a clear vision of the social and environmental impact of business.
The event was part of SDG Week in Practice, an initiative aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which seeks to engage individuals and organizations in actions capable of promoting sustainable development in its social, environmental and economic dimensions.
According to Fábio Costa, Diamante Energia has been a signatory to the SDG Movement since 2021:“We believe that, through the dissemination of knowledge, the sharing of good practices, and collaboration between different sectors of society, we can advance in the implementation of the 17 global objectives, essential to guarantee the well-being of present and future generations. If this is true for people, it is also true for companies.”
