For the fourth consecutive year, Capivari de Baixo will host the VIII International Basketball Tournament 3×3. The event will take place on October 11 and 12 at the Diamante +Energia Park Culture and Sustainability Center, with free access to the public.

The 3×3 Challenge will bring together 16 teams: eight Brazilian and eight international teams, coming from countries such as Argentina, Mexico, Chile, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Switzerland and Puerto Rico. The champion team guarantees a place in the FIBA 3×3 World Tour stage in Bucharest, Romania, scheduled for November 8 and 9.

According to Alex Negret, president of the National Basketball Association 3×3 (ANB 3×3), the holding of the tournament consolidates the sport in the country and reinforces the partnership with Diamante Energia.

“Bringing a tournament of this level back to Capivari de Baixo is a source of pride. 3×3 Basketball is dynamic, engaging and is already part of Brazilian sports culture. The partnership with Diamante Energia, now in its fourth year, has been fundamental to consolidate the project and attract international teams. The expectation is for high-level games and a big party for the public,” he said.

The VIII International Basketball Tournament 3×3 is approved by the Sports Incentive Act of the Ministry of Sports and the Federal Government. The event is masterfully sponsored by Diamante Geração de Energia, Floripa Airport, Multiplan, Bergo, World Tennis, Highlands, Sportin and Aviação Catarinense. The official ball is Wilson, with the seal of the International Basketball Federation. The achievement is by the National Basketball Association 3×3.
