On Thursday morning (25/09), the Tereza Cristina Railroad (FTC), in partnership with entities and security forces, promoted a simulated railroad accident involving a railway composition and a passenger vehicle, at the Level Crossing of Avenida Nilton Augusto Sachetti, in Capivari de Baixo, next to Ordinance C of Diamante Energia, in Capivari de Baixo.

The action, which was part of the National Traffic Week, brought together about 80 professionals, collaborators from the FTC, the Civil and Military Police, the Civil Defense, the Municipal Guard, the Fire Department, the SAMU, the Scientific Police, the IML, and the SAER.

The training simulated a collision between a locomotive and a passenger vehicle, with apparent victims, and its main objective was to alert drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians about the risks of recklessness when crossing the railway line, in addition to testing, in practice, the efficiency of integrated care in emergency situations.

Very serious offence

According to the Brazilian Traffic Code, road vehicles have priority of passage. Failure to stop at a signposted Level Crossing constitutes a very serious violation, subject to a fine and other penalties. Therefore, the orientation is clear: Stop, Look and Listen before crossing the railway line.
