
Diamante Energia and Senai de Capivari de Baixo continue to partner to provide qualified labor for the region
In 2022, the course was successful with more than 145 enrolled for 25 places. The objective of Diamante, manager of the Jorge Lacerda Thermoelectric Complex and Senai of Capivari de Baixo, is to qualify new professionals, who will be able to work not only on coal-fired thermoelectric plants, but with any other power generation plant.
Registrations opened on January 20 and continue until February 3, through the link Enrollment - Selection Process . Those who choose to attend in person can go to SENAI in Capivari de Baixo or Tubarão from Monday to Friday, from 13:30 to 17:30 or from 18:30 to 22:00.
25 places will be offered for people over 18 years of age, with technical training in Industrial Automation; Electromechanics; Electrotechnics; Industrial Mechanics; Electronics; Electroelectronics; or Technician in Electrical Power Generation Processes. Applicants will go through a selection process.

According to the SESI SENAI South and South Coast Regional Operations Manager, Valmir Cabral da Silva Neto, SENAI in Capivari de Baixo plays a fundamental role in the development and competitiveness of industries throughout the AMUREL region. “Diamante Energia is a great partnership and has entrusted us with the mission of training professionals capable of operating the Jorge Lacerda Thermoelectric Complex power plants. The internships and employment opportunities offered by the Company are a major motivating factor for the high demand for admission to this course,” explains Valmir.
Senai offers the laboratory structure, technical visits to the plant, and pedagogical support for teachers and students. Diamante contributes 50% of the investment and the students with the rest. Fifteen of them will be selected during the course and will have the opportunity to do a paid internship at the plant during the last six months of class, in parallel with the learning process.
The CTJL Plant Manager and coordinator of the Plant Operator course, Marcelo Bzuneck talks about the expectations for the start of a new class of the course. “Our commitment is to repeat the success of the first one. Through the course, we hire employees who are well prepared for the job at Diamante. This is yet another important demonstration of the company's commitment to the development of the region, by supporting professional training and improving the employability of the local community.” adds Bzuneck.
Classes will be in person at Senai in Capivari de Baixo, with a workload of 700 hours. The course starts in February and continues until December, during the night shift - from 19:00 to 22:30 - from Monday to Friday. And on some Saturdays part-time.
