The event takes place at Parque Diamante +Energia, on Saturday and Sunday, and is worth a spot for the UAE stage of the FIBA 3x3 World Tour.The 14 teams that will compete in the International Basketball Challenge VII 3x3 are defined this weekend, Saturday and Sunday (September 14 and 15/09), starting at 9 am, at the Center for Culture and Sustainability of Parque Diamante +Energia, with free admission to the public. There are 9 teams from Brazil, 1 from Bahrain, 1 from Chile, 1 from Argentina, 1 from Venezuela and 1 from Uruguay. The International Challenge champion will secure a spot in the FIBA 3x3 World Tour stage, in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates, on October 26 and 27. Brazil will be represented in the competition by Uberlândia PC, SP Drible Certo, Santos De Rosis, Limeira AABB, SP Barra Funda Fênix, Santos One ID, SP Pirituba Asp, Instituto De Rosis U23 and Jaraguá do Sul. Foreign teams include: Rifa (BRN), Antofagasta (CHI), Caracas SB (VEN) and Soriano (URU). In parallel with the international tournament, ANB3x3, the organizer of the event, will also hold the contests in the men's and women's Under-18 categories, men's and women's Open, and +35 men's.What's new in 2024For the third consecutive year at Parque Diamante +Energia, this year's edition will feature two indoor courts for the competition, in addition to several attractions for the public during Saturday and Sunday. And the activities in the city started this Wednesday (11th), with an action with the “basket” in the city center, from 11:30 to 16:00, and on Thursday (12th), with the visit of the Basketball Clown at EMEB Stanislau G. Filho, at 10 a.m. On Friday, at 14:00, children invited from schools in the region will participate in an action with the players at the Parque Diamante +Energia theater. The objective is to encourage the practice of the sport and provide a better understanding of it. Soon after, the same students will plant saplings along with the Diamond + Environmental Education Program, also in the park.
