The SENAI Capivari de Baixo unit and Diamante Generação de Energia graduated from the fourth class of the Professional Qualification Course in Thermoelectric Plant Operator. The event was held this Wednesday (17/12) and consolidated the results of the partnership, which seeks to qualify professionals to meet the strategic demands of the energy sector.
Designed to train professionals aligned with Diamante's real operating needs, the course was born from the joint action of a technical team from SENAI and the company, responsible for designing an innovative and consistent educational project. Training is a pioneer in the country and stands out for the possibility of an internship at the plant itself, expanding students' practical experience. In his speech to the trainees, the president of Diamante, Pedro Akos Litsek, reinforced the good prospects for buying energy in the sector and that this new moment will also open up more employability possibilities for graduates.
The executive manager of the South and South Coast Regionals of SESI, SENAI and IEL, Valmir Cabral da Silva Neto, once again reinforced the role of FIESC in professional qualification, creating programs and meeting training needs, such as the partnership with Diamante and many other industries in the region. “With this fourth class formed, SENAI reaffirms its commitment to excellent professional education, based on the integrated development of technical and socio-emotional skills,” says Cabral.
Since the opening of registrations, the course has aroused great interest, exceeding expectations and requiring a careful selection process. In all, 20 students completed the training, with classes held from Monday to Saturday. The total workload was 700 hours, including theoretical and practical content at SENAI in Capivari de Baixo, in addition to technical visits, lectures and paid internship for 15 selected students, with all the benefits offered by Diamante Energia.
The class was comprised of professionals from different technical areas, such as mechanics, electrical, automation, engineering, and industrial operation. The course addressed topics essential to working in thermal power plants, including boilers, turbines, thermal cycles, safety and system operation, reinforcing the importance of continuous technical improvement, commitment to safety and the permanent search for professional excellence.
During the ceremony, the students with 100% attendance and the student with the best academic performance were honored. Representing the trainees, Marcos Passarela de Bitencourt highlighted his gratitude to Diamante Geração de Energia for believing in training people and investing in a differentiated course, which prepares highly qualified professionals to work not only in the company complex, but in the entire electricity generation sector in the country. The student also thanked the teachers and professionals from SENAI and Diamante for the exchange of experiences, technical knowledge, and real experiences of the profession. “SENAI transforms knowledge into opportunity, prepares professionals for the challenges of the sector and contributes directly to the human, social and industrial development of our country,” he emphasized.
For the course coordinator at Diamante Energia, Marcelo Bzuneck, the initiative significantly expands employability opportunities. “This is an excellent course, demanding and aligned with the responsibilities of the plant operator role, which requires precision, commitment and high technical level. I congratulate the teachers and trainees for their dedication and wish them to continue their continuous search for the development of knowledge and professional fulfillment,” he said.
