Diamante +Energia Park hosted yet another great sporting spectacle with the 8th International Basketball Tournament 3×3, which brought together teams from Brazil and several Latin American and European countries, this Saturday (11) and Sunday (12).
Lausanne, from Switzerland, won the title of the International Basketball Tournament 3×3, held at Parque Diamante +Energia, in Capivari de Baixo (SC). In the final, the Swiss team, ranked 18th in the world ranking, beat Uberlândia PC 21-10. Closing the podium, SP Drible Certo finished in third place.
It was Lausanne's second title at the Capivari de Baixo International Tournament. The team had already been champion in 2023. It was also the second runner-up for the Minas Gerais team, which was surpassed last year by Riffa, from Bahrain.

In addition to the title, Lausanne secured a spot for the FIBA 3×3 World Tour stage, which will be held on November 8 and 9 in Bucharest, Romania.
Brazil started Sunday with three teams in the quarterfinals: Uberlândia PC, Paulistano DC and Maracaí, and only two advanced to the next round. In the semifinals, Uberlândia PC beat Buenos Aires, from Argentina, 21-13, to secure themselves in the final, while Paulista DC was overtaken by Lausanne, also 21-13. In the decision, Lausanne was superior and won the title with a score of 21 to 10.
In parallel with the International Tournament, the ANB3x3, the organizer of the event, also held the contests in the men's Under-18, 35+ men's and men's Open categories.
The 3×3 International Basketball Tournament is part of the VIII International 3×3 Basketball Challenge Project, approved by the Sports Incentive Act of the Ministry of Sports and the Federal Government.
The event is master-sponsored by Diamante Geração de Energia, in addition to support from Floripa Airport, Multiplan, Bergo, World Tennis, Altiflats, Sportin and Aviação Catarinense. The official ball is Wilson, with the seal of the International Basketball Federation, and the achievement is made by the National Basketball Association 3×3.
The president of Diamante Geração de Energia, Pedro Litsek, highlighted the importance of sponsorship and the role of sport in social integration. “Diamante believes in sport as a transformative agent, capable of bringing people together, inspiring positive attitudes and strengthening ties with the community. Being present at an event like this reinforces our commitment to the community in which we operate,” he said.

In addition to the Basketball program, the event included cultural presentations of projects encouraged by Diamante and Parque Diamante +Energia, such as the Dehon College Marching Band, a dance by students from the dance workshop, Action Between Them — for breast cancer prevention, NBA school and the Golden Boys Sports and Cultural Association.
The president of Diamante +Energia Park, Valdeci Francisco Algayer, highlighted the impact of the project for the region. “The International Tournament consolidates Parque Diamante as a space for living and leisure for the entire community. It's a joy to see the sport bringing people together and moving our region with so much positive energy,” he said.
